• Where can I enter my credit card?

  You don't have to! Modular Forms is available free of charge and licensed under the MIT License. We finance the development from our own funds. If your company would like to support us, you can take a look at our sponsor page on GitHub.

• What exactly does Modular Forms do?

  Modular Forms mainly takes care of the state management and input validation of your form. The library provides you with a well thought-out API that takes care of important functions, such as capturing inputs. I recommend taking a look at the debugger in our playground.

• How does a modular design reduce bundle size?

  Due to the modular design of our API you only need to import the functionality you actually need. It also allows us to add new features without increasing the initial bundle size of about 3 KB. You can read more about it here.

• What are fine-grained DOM updates?

  Modular Forms composes the state of your form from many individual signals. This makes it possible to make each DOM update as granular as the underlying framework allows. This means that if the value of a field changes, the form does not have to be re-rendered and instead only individual DOM nodes are specifically updated. You can read more about signals here.

• Can I use it with my own components?

  Yes and with any other pre-build UI components! Our Field component does not render its own HTML elements. It acts as a data layer and provides you the state of a field, which you can use to display a custom UI.
